African Swine Fever (ASF)


What is it: ASF is a highly contagious viral disease of domestic and wild pigs

 Where is it: Parts of Africa, Europe and Asia

 What does it do: ASF is usually fatal in pigs

 What to look for: Signs include elevated temperature, weakness, reduced appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, red blotchy or black skin lesions, nose and eye discharge, coughing and difficulty breathing
