Brian is part of a farming partnership with his brother and mother farming 170 hectares of land at Thirlstane on the North West Coast of Tasmania.

They are a mixed farming operation growing poppies, pyrethrum and wheat as well as running the Dunlop Park Angus Stud, a herd of 110 registered breeding cows.

The property has been in his family for 4 generations, beginning with his great grandfather who came to Tasmania in 1896. The family has had a long association with TFGA and Brian has been actively involved with the organisation for over a decade. He has been a member of the TFGA Meat Council since 2010 and has served as its Chairman from 2012 to 2016 and again in 2020.

Brian was a member of the TFGA Board from 2016 to 2018 and was previously the TFGA representative on Council of Australia’s Animal Health and Welfare Committee prior to their restructure in 2020.
