Freight equalisation scheme seminars

Location: Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Wynyard

The Department of State Growth will hold free seminars for Tasmanian businesses to provide information regarding the the Tasmanian Freight Equalisation Scheme from 19-21 June in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Wynyard.

If you are shipping goods between Tasmania and the mainland; or King Island and the main island of Tasmania; or
the Furneaux Group and the main island of Tasmania, you may be eligible to use the scheme to help reduce your
transport costs.

Key topics will include how the scheme works, what goods are eligible for assistance under the Scheme, how much assistance can be claimed, how to make a claim and when to make a claim.

The seminar series is being delivered in partnership with the federal Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities and the Department of Human Services.
