2020 Federal Budget

The TFGA welcomes the 2020 Federal Budget and the raft of announcements that will support the agricultural sector in Tasmania.
TFGA President Mr Marcus McShane said, “It is pleasing to see the Federal Government acknowledge the importance of the agricultural sector and providing genuine and well targeted support. The $80 million dollars for irrigation coupled with the asset write off provisions will greatly assist agriculture in this State.”
The TFGA will continue to work with both the Federal and State Governments as we meet the economic challenges that the COVID pandemic has created globally.
The short to medium term will remain a challenging environment for all businesses and this budget is clearly targeted at addressing those challenges and supporting the broader economy as we move through to 2021 and the years beyond.
