Boost to Rural Relief Fund welcome

The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association has welcomed the State Government’s announcement that it will boost the Rural Relief Fund with a donation of $25,000 to the Rural Relief Fund.

This, in conjunction with the offer immediate emergency assistance to those who have lost homes and belongings, will go some way to helping the many families who have been affected by the State’s worst floods in 40 years.

“The TFGA extends its heartfelt condolences to the many families and businesses who have been affected by these floods,’’ TFGA CEO Peter Skillern said.

The TFGA and other industry stakeholders are working closely with the Government during this crisis, of which the full impact is still unknown.
