Firearms announcement response

The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) has noted the State Government’s announcement today regarding firearms law proposals.

The TFGA believes that the Legislative Council Inquiry is the most appropriate forum to review issues in relation to the State’s Firearms Policy.

The TFGA looks forward to presenting the case for Tasmanian farmers, and for firearms laws to be both practical, ensure community safety and to be within the context of the National Firearms Agreement.

The TFGA is currently preparing information for the Legislative Council hearings which are due to commence in September.
