Loan boost

29 September 2016

The Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association (TFGA) today welcomed the announcement by Minister Rockliff of a $10 million injection into the State Government’s AgriGrowth Loan Scheme.

The scheme is designed to assist agricultural projects that have a long lead-in time, such as small fruit farms.

“We encourage all eligible Tasmanian farmers to apply for the loan scheme,’’ TFGA CEO Peter Skillern said.

The Minister also released Tasmania’s Agri-Food Plan 2016-2018.

“We welcome this step towards achieving the Government’s policy objective of a $10 billion agriculture industry by 2050,’’ Mr Skillern said.
