Agricultural Workforce Resilience Package

03 September 2020

On 19 August 2020 the Tasmanian Government announced the Agricultural Workforce Resilience Package to attract and retain an effective seasonal workforce, with a particular focus on keeping our planting, production and harvest seasons on track in light of COVID-19.

A component of this package is an advertising campaign encouraging locals to consider seasonal jobs and careers in our agriculture sector.

As a first step, DPIPWE has established a Harvest Jobs webpage as a central source of information.

The webpage will continue to evolve over time as more information becomes available and the messaging is refined. The website points to a number of options of where to find a job, however the primary link is via the Harvest Trail website.

DPIPWE encourages those interested to register their job opportunities or workforce requirements with the Harvest Trail website via the employers page. The Harvest Trail Jobs Board is a free Australian Government service to help connect employers with people who are looking for work now.

Please note - registering with the Harvest Trail should not replace other opportunities for advertising positions for the upcoming season and should be used in conjunction with other advertising options.
