Expressions of Interest - The List Map Training

TFGA staff were fortunate enough to have training from DPIPWE on using The List mapping program. During the session they demonstrated the multiple uses of The List for agriculture. Some of the features included:

  • Viewing properties by PIC number
  • Being able to measure areas, lengths and pivots
  • Suitability for commodity farming across the state based on multiple factors including; erosion, groundwater and salinity
  • Digital soil maps which include soil layers, profiles and sand percentage
  • Climate mapping, including; frost risk, temperature, chill and number of growing days
  • Future predictive modelling based on climate predictions

All of these features and more are free for anyone to access and a great tool for farmers. TFGA would like to offer the opportunity for farmers to come to free training on using The List.
